Custom Packing or Packaging Services

Do you have to ship a box and have no idea where to start? We do we are the packaging experts. We have shipped everything from Saunders hot fudge, 2 liters of soda, mountain bikes, computers, china, you name it, we have shipped it.

Here's what you need to keep in mind.

1. You will want at least 2 inches of shock absobtion packaging all the way around the item. If it is fragile, then increase your cushioning to four inches.

2. Thinking about using old boxes that are stored in the basement or garage to ship your items in? Keep in mind you want your items to get to were they are going securely. If you have a used box that is all beat up or has holes in it. How is it supposed to do its job by keeping your items secure? It won't. If it's a questionable box, you're better off buying a new one rather than have your box fall apart and your items damaged before reaching their destination.

3. Planning to use newspaper to wrap your item for shipment? Don't. If your item happens to break in transit, UPS will deny the claim. Newspaper is not a packaging agent. Packaging peanuts and wrapping the item in bubble wrap are the way to go. Use newsprint only when packing clothing for shipment.

4. Were you planning on buying some of that brown paper to wrap you box in? Don't waste your hard earned money. UPS doesn't like brown paper. It gets wet and tears off. leaving the paper to get caught in the conveyer belts. So no need to waste your money on it since it probly won't make the trip intact anyway.

5. Are you used to writing your return address and the destination address on each side of the box? You don't need to even worry about it. We have computer generated labels that print address info and afix to the box. So just bring the address and we will do the rest.

6. Standard insurance on a UPS package is $100.00 dollars. If a damage or loss claim happens to come up (nothing is perfect) we will need proof of value of the item or items in order to process your claim. Additional package insurance is available at the rate of $1.25 per one hundred dollars of value. Packages may be insured for up to $50,000.00.
